(05/12/19) -- One person is in custody, in connection to a shooting in Bay City Saturday morning.
According to the Bay City Department of Public Safety Facebook page, officers were first dispatched to the 1100 block of North Jackson Street for a shots fired call.
Police found a 32 year old Bay City man with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound near the Law Enforcement Center. He was taken to the hospital.
A 27 year old Canton man is in custody.
Police say they found evidence in an apartment that points to him as the shooter.
The case is being handled by the Bay County Prosecutor’s Office for charges.
