(3/19/2019) -- A rare wild feline has been captured here in Mid-Michigan.
This Lynx is the first to be captured in the Lower Peninsula in more than 100 years.
The Michigan D-N-R says they found it in Harbor Beach in the Thumb Region on Sunday.
Now it will be transferred to the Detroit Zoo.
The DNR says the last time there was a confirmed lynx in the lower peninsula was in 1917 in Oscoda County. The last time a verified lynx was confirmed in the UP was in 2010.
