As promised (quite some time ago, actually), I am proud to present to you the NEW BayCountyScanner.org site.   There's quite a bit to go over, so let's get started.

First off, you'll notice (if you're using internet explorer), that the audio stream is playing automatically over on the left.  You can launch the player in a new Window so that while you're playing around on the site, you can still hear the stream.  For those of you using Firefox and other browsers that don't allow ActiveX controls, you can launch your favorite player (Winamp, XMMS, etc) from the "Launch External Player" link from the Stream Stats menu underneath the player.


For those of you that wish to participate in all the new site has to offer, please take a moment to create a personal account.   Once your account has been established, you'll have the ability to post messages in the forums, and post news articles to the front page as well.

The main menu is located below the scanner player, where you can get to the forums, code reference, and other areas of the site.  The Downloads area provides links to software that will enhance your experience of the scanner site. 

I'm still learning this new format, and I plan to implement more features as time goes on.   I feel that I've tweaked the site enough to at least get us up and running on this new platform.
